Coverage and Benefits
- Are specialty lenses covered?
Each of our DeltaVision plans covers lens enhancements the same way. Standard progressive lenses are fully covered, while anti-glare and scratch-resistant coatings are available at an additional cost. Impact-resistant lenses are included for children but are an extra cost for adults.
- Is LASIK or PRK surgery included, discounted, or excluded?
Our DeltaVision plans come with discounts on LASIK surgery performed at contracted facilities. There is an average of 15% off the regular price, or 5% off the promotional price.
- What are the monthly premiums, copays, and deductibles?
Monthly premiums, copays, and deductibles all vary based on the DeltaVision plan. Check our DeltaVision brochure (linked at the bottom of this page) for a breakdown by plan.
- Do allowances reset annually, every 12 months, or on a calendar year basis?

Network and Access
- Which optometrists and ophthalmologists are in-network?
In-network optometrists and ophthalmologists can be found on MySmile®. DeltaVision is in partnership with VSP® Vision Care, giving members access to VSP’s extensive network, which has over 136,000 access points nationwide and maintains a 99% doctor retention rate.
- Is DeltaVision coverage accepted at popular retailers?
Over 26,000 participating retail locations, including, Costco®, Walmart®, Sam’s Club®, Pearle Vision®, Visionworks®, Cohen’s Fashion Optical®, and MyEyeDr.®, accept our DeltaVision plans.
- Is there reimbursement for out-of-network services, and if so, at what rate?
Out-of-network reimbursements are in addition to in-network copays. For all our plans, out-of-network examinations are reimbursed up to $45. Glasses and contact lens out-of-network reimbursements vary depending on the type of lens.
- Are telehealth or online eye exams included?
No, currently, virtual eye exams are not offered with any of our DeltaVision plans.
- How does vision insurance compare to just paying out of pocket for exams and glasses?
Vision insurance can lower the overall cost of eye exams, glasses, and contacts, as in-network eye doctors have agreed to pre-established fees for these services. Our DeltaVision plans are part of the VSP Premier Edge™ network, which saves members between 43% and 68% on services and materials.1

- Can I combine vision insurance with a Health Savings account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?
Yes, members can use an HSA or FSA account to help pay for any out-of-network fees.
- Do I need to wait for open enrollment to sign up?
The enrollment period for any of our DeltaVision plans is determined by employers. Please contact your Human Resources department for more information on enrollment.
- Are there waiting periods before coverage starts?
No, none of our DeltaVision plans have any waiting periods before coverage starts.
- How do I file a claim?
Claims do not need to be submitted when visiting an in-network VSP Premier Edge™ network eye doctor. If a member needs to submit an out-of-network claim, they can do so via MySmile®.
- What exclusions or limitations should I watch for (e.g., only basic frames, no specialty contacts)?
Any exclusions or limitations within our DeltaVision plans will be listed in the plan contract.
Other
- Do I get a physical ID card?
No. We do not mail DeltaVision ID cards to members. Members can access plan information online via MySmile®.
- How do I monitor the use of my benefits?
MySmile® is the key to monitoring benefits. Members can download and print an ID card, find an in-network Vision doctor, view claims, and submit an out-of-network claim.
- Do I tell doctors I have DeltaVision or VSP?
When visiting the eye doctor, members should be sure to mention that they have VSP®. For ID cards printed from MySmile®, both the DeltaVision and VSP logos will be displayed.
- Do I have to give my ID number or SSN?
Members should give their member ID number when visiting the eye doctor. It can be found on MySmile®.
