TTY Relay Features

New Jersey Relay services offer a range of benefits designed to ensure accessible, reliable, and secure communication for individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. These services support background sound transcription, making conversations clearer and more inclusive. As a free public service, they are available to anyone who needs them, without cost. Relay services are fully compatible with standard phone users, allowing seamless communication between TTY users and those using traditional voice phones. These services ensure that support is always within reach—anytime, anywhere. Most importantly, all calls are handled with strict confidentiality by trained relay operators, ensuring that every conversation remains private and secure.

How TTY Relay Works with Delta Dental:

1. You can reach us using your TTY, dial 711 or the toll-free number for your state.
2. The relay operator will answer by identifying the Relay and providing his/her relay operator number and gender. The relay operator will then type "NUMBER TO CALL PLS Q GA."
3.Provide our hearing impaired customer service number (800-246-1020) to the relay operator to call us.

4. Once the call is connected, the relay operator will speak to the customer service agent on your behalf.
