How Our Benefits Respond to Dental Trends

December 1, 2018
PARSIPPANY, N.J. — December 1, 2018 — At Delta Dental of New Jersey (DDNJ), we continuously monitor trends in the dental profession, and look for opportunities to evolve our benefits where appropriate. DDNJ has shared upcoming changes to claims processing policies with the New Jersey Dental Association in advance of the effective date of the updates. Some changes, such as the ones affecting the frequency of certain radiographs, are based on the principal of limiting radiographs to only when a clinician deems them clinically necessary based on a patient’s unique circumstances, rather than according to the patient’s insurance benefits (see link to article from 2017).

Should you have thoughts about future benefit changes, please email them to me at KLibou@deltadentalnj.com.
