Important Notice to
Delta Dental of New Jersey Members for Dental
Services Received in 2009
Delta Dental of New Jersey has recalculated the 2009 maximum allowable charges (MACs) for certain services performed by participating and non-participating dentists in New Jersey and Connecticut. The MACs are the fee levels Delta Dental uses in processing claims.
There is no impact for those members who are covered under a Delta Dental Point of Service (POS), Delta Dental
PPOSM, Advantage or DeltaCareâ benefit plan
and who received services from
a Delta Dental PPO, Advantage or DeltaCare dentist.

Effective January 2010 Delta Dental of New Jersey will be making changes to the maximum allowable charges (MACs) which are the fee levels Delta Dental uses in processing claims.
Please note that we expect many fees to increase, some to decrease, while others will remain unchanged.
This change will have no impact on those members who are covered under a Delta Dental Point of Service (POS), Delta Dental
PPOSM, Advantage or DeltaCareâ benefit plan
and who receive services from
a Delta Dental PPO, Advantage or DeltaCare dentist.

Connection. This secure, online tool
makes it easy to determine your maximum
and deductible balances, check the status
of your claims, and print a copy of your
ID card. Please note that as of March
7, 2009, Benefits Connection is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
