OVER 30 CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN "BRING YOUR CHILD TO WORK DAY" AT DELTA DENTAL OF NEW JERSEY
-The annual program works to educate children about oral health and introduce them to different career paths-

PARSIPPANY, NJ (April 27, 2006) – Over thirty children, ages 9 to 15, interned for the day with Delta Dental of New Jersey's Corporate Communications Department in honor of "Bring Your Child to Work Day." The focus of this year's program was the career of advertising. The children were asked to create and perform mock television commercials about different oral health topics including the proper way to brush and floss; the dangers of smoking cigarettes and preventing oral injuries with mouthguards.

Delta Dental of New Jersey has been participating in the national day since 1993. Each year the program is geared to introduce the children to a different aspect of the company such as dentistry, finance or customer service.

"Here at Delta Dental we see "Bring Your Child to Work Day" as an excellent opportunity to expose children to oral health education as well as teach them about different careers that are available to them when they grow up," said Ellen Schworn, Human Resources administrator and program coordinator.
