THIRTY DELTA DENTAL OF NEW JERSEY EMPLOYEES DONATE BLOOD TO THE BLOOD CENTER OF NEW JERSEY

PARSIPPANY, NJ (April 13, 2006) – Thirty Delta Dental of New Jersey (Delta Dental) employees recently donated blood to The Blood Center of New Jersey (The Blood Center) during a company blood drive held at Delta Dental's headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. Delta Dental employees have participated in blood drives with The Blood Center bi-annually for the past 15 years.

"The Blood Center blood drives are well received by our employees every spring and fall," said Kathy Mullen, director, Human Resources. "It offers all of us a chance to participate in a great community service without taking time away from the office. You never know when you or a family member may need blood. It makes us all feel good to donate."

According to The Blood Center of New Jersey, it is estimated that 75% of the population will need blood at some point in their lifetime. The Blood Center of New Jersey supplies over 100,000 blood products annually to hospitals and medical centers throughout New Jersey to aid premature babies in intensive care; trauma victims, vehicular accidents, etc.; organ transplant patients; cancer patients; burn victims; surgery patients; and children and adults with blood disorders, such as Hemophiliacs, Anemia and Sickle Cell Disease.
