DELTA DENTAL AND CAPTAIN SUPERTOOTH COME TO JEFFERSON SCHOOL FOR NATIONAL CHILDREN'S DENTAL HEALTH MONTH

PARSIPPANY, NJ (March 15, 2004) – On Wednesday, February 11, Captain Supertooth - Delta Dental Plan of New Jersey Foundation's superhero of dental hygiene - visited Jefferson School students to celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month. Children from the West Caldwell school were eager to meet the Captain and help him on his mission: to promote the importance of early preventive dental care and learn the proper way to care for teeth.

The Captain Supertooth program is part of Delta Dental's ongoing initiative to spread the word that oral health is vital for good overall health. Dressed in a superhero costume and armed with a larger-than-life-sized toothbrush, Captain Supertooth entertainingly demonstrates teeth cleaning and flossing to children between the ages of five and eight. The Captain also shares helpful "teeth" tips, such as brushing for at least one minute, eating a balanced diet and visiting the dentist for regular check-ups.
