Cheese Called Great Snack for Teeth

When it's time for kids to snack, tell them to "say cheese," says the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Cheese contains calcium and phosphorus, which are important for developing strong bones and teeth. Also, some types of cheese - cheddar, Swiss, mozzarella and Monterey jack - actually stimulate the salivary glands. The salivary glands produce saliva, which helps wash away debris and remove acid from teeth.
