KidsHealth
(www.kidshealth.org) is a popular health-related Web site,
which provides health information about children for
children from before birth through adolescence.
The site was
created by The Nemours Foundation's Center for Children's
Health Media.
Physicians and
other health experts review all content before it's
published on KidsHealth. All content is re-reviewed on a
regular basis (about every 1 to 3 years, or more
frequently if needed). The most recent review date and the
name of the expert reviewer(s) appear at the end of each
article.
Articles that
focus on oral health include:
- What causes
bad breath? - Simple steps that teens can use to
prevent bad breath.
- Taking the
bite out of bruxism - Why people grind their teeth,
and some treatments for it, written for children.
- Taking care
of your teeth - How teens can improve their oral
health by brushing, flossing, eating healthy diets and
visiting their dentist regularly. It also includes
information about tooth-whitening products, and dental
diseases that affect many teens, such as gingivitis.
- Going to
the dentist - A detailed description for kids about
what happens during a dental visit.
- How does
fluoride work? - Information for kids about how
fluoride protects teeth.
