"Why Doesn't Delta Dental Cover...?"

This is a question we hear often. People wonder why we don’t cover certain procedures such as orthodontia. Or why their deductible is what it is. Or why there are maximums to their benefits.

The fact is, we don’t make these decisions about your Delta Dental benefits program. Your employer does. We cover what your employer decides should be part of your dental benefits program.

Your employer, not Delta Dental, decides what procedures we cover, the deductibles you must pay and annual benefit maximum. This is all part of the contract between your employer and Delta Dental.

While some people may need one type of service, other people may need completely different services. We offer employers many different benefit options from which to choose. Employers, along with their benefits consultant, develop the best plan so that all members receive at least some benefit.
