Delta Dental will observe National Customer Service Week 2004 with a series of events at our Parsippany, New Jersey, headquarters. The national theme of this year's celebration, which takes place October 4-8, is "Dedicated to Service."
Each year, Delta Dental marks the occasion by saying "thank you" to both staff and customers.
"Although many functions associated with dental benefits administration can now be managed on the Web, we continue to offer personalized customer service via phone to those who request it," said Walter VanBrunt, president and CEO. "Customer Service professionals who are informed, helpful and friendly are an important asset to our business. Therefore, it is with pleasure that we set time aside each year to say 'thank you' to those who do a stellar job representing our company.

National Customer Service Week, which was first celebrated in 1988, is an event devoted to recognizing the importance of customer service and honoring those in the profession. In 1992, the U.S. Congress proclaimed National Customer Service Week a nationally recognized event, and it is now celebrated annually by thousands of companies in North America.
