Registering for Benefits Connection Easier Than You Think

Have you put off using Delta Dental's online Benefits Connection to check on your dental benefits because the registration process seemed too complicated?

It really isn't. It takes less than five minutes to register, and you only have to register the first time you visit the site. When you are registered, logging on takes just a few seconds.

To register for Benefits Connection:

1. Go to our Web site at www.deltadentalnj.com, and click the "Subscribers" icon on the right side of the screen.

2. At the Benefits Connection Registration Logon box, click "Register Now."

3. Choose a user name and password. Each must have seven to ten characters. (Don't forget them! You'll need them whenever you want to use Benefits Connection in the future!)

4. Answer a security question (the name of your pet, your favorite color, or your favorite sports team). This is so that if you forget your password later, we can verify your identity and e-mail the password to you.

5. Select that you are registering as a Subscriber.

6. Enter your Delta Dental ID number. This is usually the subscriber's nine-digit Social Security number, or whatever numbers your group uses to identify you. Don't use hyphens.

7. Type your last name.

8. Type the subscriber's date of birth (MM/DD/YY).

9. Enter your e-mail address. Make sure you entered it correctly; otherwise you will not be able to receive your password via e-mail if you forget it later.

10. Click "Register."

That's all there is to it!

The next time you go to Benefits Connection, you will just need to complete steps 1-3, and then click "Logon."

Use Benefits Connection to find out about eligibility and benefits, determine maximum and deductible balances, and even check the status of claims online. Benefits Connection is available all day, every day, even on weekends, evenings, and holidays. What's more, the next time you visit your dentist, you can tell him or her that the office can check your benefits online as easily as you can.

(Note: For security reasons, there is a 10-day delay before your registration for Benefits Connection goes into effect.)
