What Delta Dental Offers Your Large Groups

  • The most extensive nationwide network of participating dentists. Almost three out of every four dentists (more than 138,000 dental offices nationwide) participate in DeltaPremier USA, Delta Dental's fee-for-service product. Our PPO plan, DeltaPreferred Option USA, has a national network with more than 64,000 dental offices. Our DHMO plan, DeltaCare USA, consists of a network with more than 12,000 dental offices.

  • Products to meet the specialized needs of your groups and their subscribers:

    • DeltaPremier, our traditional fee-for-service product offers subscribers the freedom to choose any dentist, and lower out-of-pocket costs when participating dentists are selected.

    • DeltaPreferred Option (PPO) offers a solution to groups seeking lower cost advantages (an average of 20% to 25% discount off Delta Premier) while retaining a level of provider freedom of choice. DeltaPreferred Option USA offers subscribers freedom to choose either a participating dentist or, for a higher cost, any non-network provider. DeltaPreferred Option also offers subscribers considerable cost savings when using a dentist who is a preferred provider in the Delta Dental network due to pre-negotiated lower fees.

    • With DeltaCare, our dental health maintenance organization (DHMO), subscribers select a dentist from the panel of participating providers. Dentists are paid a set, monthly fee that covers most of the services subscribers need. DeltaCare is a choice for groups seeking lower costs, an emphasis on prevention, and a pre-selected network of providers from which to choose. It offers minimal and/or no patient co-payments for preventive care, multi-year contracts with annual rate ceiling guarantees, and detailed program management reports.

  • Personalized services for large groups.

  • Performance guarantees for large groups. Delta Dental will offer performance guarantees to groups. We are dedicated to ensuring a smooth implementation, and will negotiate claim turnaround time, financial and procedural accuracy, and cost management savings guarantees.

  • Flexible billing and reporting available. Delta Dental can submit separate bills to different company sites. Also, we will create specialized reports, such as our cost-containment reports, to meet your needs.

  • High levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Nine out of ten benefits managers say their companies are "extremely satisfied" or "very satisfied" with Delta Dental overall, according to our annual benefits manager satisfaction survey, conducted by Brownstone Information Resources, Inc. Delta Dental consistently maintains a 95%+ customer retention rate.

  • Quality care delivered at moderate prices. Delta Dental's unique cost control measures and contractual agreements with dentists saved Delta Dental Plan of New Jersey groups more than $200 million in 2002.
