The Captain Supertooth Program

Delta Dental of New Jersey proudly presents the Captain Supertooth Program for schools in New Jersey and Connecticut. The program, presented by our very own Captain Supertooth - a live actor - is provided as a public service during Children's Dental Health Month (February). The program educates elementary school children about the benefits of good oral hygiene in a fun way. Review the 2013 Captain Supertooth presentation evaluation results.

Using a giant red toothbrush - and the children as teeth - Captain Supertooth educates children about:

  • Brushing
  • Flossing
  • Balanced diet
  • Visiting the dentist

Totally free of charge, children in kindergarten through second grade may attend Captain Supertooth's Program, which can be tailored to fit a school's needs. Each program typically lasts about 20 minutes. Contact Kim Elmore at 973-944-4555 for more information, or review some frequently asked questions about the program.

Since the program began in 1990, Captain Supertooth has instructed more than 100,000 children about proper dental care. Because of the demand for this program, there is a waiting list. Teachers and school nurses should send an e-mail now to place their school on the waiting list and, in the meantime, we'll send you a free video or DVD. Please specify either English or Spanish for the video, or English for the DVD.
