To register the first time
If your registration is successful
- If you are a participating dentist with Delta
Dental Plan of New Jersey, you will see an onscreen
notice stating that your registration was successful,
as well as a statement listing the programs your
office is currently enrolled in with Delta Dental.
- If you are a non-participating dentist, you
will see an onscreen notice stating that your
registration was successful, as well as a statement
offering how to become a participating dentist.
- Click "Close" and you will be directed
to a Benefits Connection Welcome page, where
you will be able to begin accessing benefits
information for your patients who have Delta
Dental coverage.
If your registration is not successful
You will receive an onscreen notification explaining
why your registration did not go through. The reason
is usually because the dentist's name, Social Security
number or Tax ID Number are not on file. You will
be directed to call our Professional Relations
Department at 973-285-4064 if your office is in
New Jersey or Connecticut. Dental offices in other
states must contact their local Delta Dental Plan
to update information.
- If the User Name you selected was already taken.
You will be prompted to select another User Name
and returned to the registration page.
- If you have previously registered for Benefits
Connection. You will be notified that the ID
Number you entered has already been registered
in the system. (For security reasons, the system
allows only one user per ID number.)
If you remember your User Name and Password, go
to the Benefits Connection logon box and log on
using your User Name and Password.
How long does it take for my registration to
go into effect?
For security reasons, there will be a 10-day delay
for your registration to go into effect to use
the Patient Inquiry portion of Benefits Connection.
You will be able to use the Claims Submissions
feature immediately.
To log onto Benefits Connection
- Go to www.deltadentalnj.com.
- Click the "Dentists" icon on the
right side of the screen.
- At the Benefits Connection Logon box, click
"Logon."
- An "Enter Network Password" box will
pop up. Enter your
- User Name (the seven to ten-character
identifier you selected when you registered
the first time, such as
"susanna," "ericlee,"
"janedoe").
- Password (the seven to ten-character password
selected when you registered.)
- Click "OK."
- If you logged in correctly, you will go directly
to the Benefits Connection Welcome page, where
you will be able to begin accessing benefits
information for your patients who have Delta
Dental coverage.
- If you entered an incorrect User Name or Password,
you will be prompted to try again.
What if I forget my User Name?
If you forget your User Name, contact Concurrent
Technologies' Help Desk at 888-783-5750.
What if I forget my Password?
- Click on "Forgot Password" at the
bottom of the Benefits Connection Logon box.
- Step 1: Choose one of the following registrations.
Select "Dental Office" and click
"Continue."
- Step 2: Please enter the following:
- User Name (Your seven to ten- character
identifier that you selected when you registered
the first time, such as "susanna," "ericlee,"
"janedoe").
- Dentist License # (This is your dentist
license number with the two-letter state
abbreviation. Do not use spaces).
- Click "Continue."
- Step 3: Provide the answer to your security
question. The question that you selected at registration
will automatically appear on the screen. Type
in your one-word answer and click "Continue."
- If you completed Steps 2 and 3 correctly, you
will see a message stating that Delta Dental
has sent your password to the e-mail address
you provided at online registration.
- If you provide an incorrect User Name, Dentist
License # or answer to the security question,
you will be notified that the process is unsuccessful
and advised to contact Concurrent Technologies'
Help Desk at 888-783-5750.
The system said my password
was e-mailed to me after completing the Forgot
Password process, but I never received it. What
happened?
We probably have an incorrect e-mail address for
you in the system. Benefits Connection uses the
e-mail address that you supplied at the time you
registered. To verify your e-mail address, contact
Concurrent Technologies' Help Desk at 888-783-5750.
How do I change my password?
- Click "Change Password/E-mail" at
the bottom of the Benefits Connection Logon box.
- Enter your:
- User Name (your seven to ten- character
identifier that you selected when you registered
the first time, such as "susanna," "ericlee,"
"janedoe")
- Old Password (the seven to ten-character
password selected when you originally registered)
- New Password (the new seven to ten-character
password)
- Re-enter New Password
- Click "Submit."
- You will see an onscreen notice stating that
your Change Password entry was successful.
- You will return to the Benefits Connection
Logon screen, where you may now log on using
your User Name and new Password.
How do I change my e-mail address?
- Click "Change Password/E-mail" at
the bottom of the Benefits Connection Logon box.
- Enter your:
- User Name (your seven to ten- character
identifier that you selected when you registered
the first time, such as "susanna," "ericlee,"
"janedoe")
- Old Password (the seven to ten-character
password selected when you originally registered)
- New e-mail address
- Click "Submit."
- You will see an onscreen notice stating that
your Change E-mail entry was successful.
- You will return to the Benefits Connection
Logon screen, where you may now log on using
your User Name and Password.
What type of information can I get through
Benefits Connection?
Benefits Connection offers two key features.
Patient Inquiry provides a complete explanation
of eligibility and coordination of benefits for
your patients who participate with Delta Dental.
Information includes:
- Details of your patient's Delta Dental coverage
- Percentage covered for each service
- Any applicable deductibles and waiting
periods
- Explanations of any maximums and age limitations
- Frequency schedule
- Procedure Code search
Claims Submissions enables both participating
and non-participating dentists to file claims to
us online.
Where can I get additional help?
The first step is to read any message that pops
up on the screen and follow those directions. If
you still need assistance:
- Contact Delta Dental's Customer Service Department
at 800-452-9310 for problems with information
found (or not found) in Benefits Connection (i.e.,
coverage issues).
- Contact Delta Dental's Professional Relations
Department at 973-285-4064 if your Social Security
or Tax Identification Number is not on file or
is incorrect.
- Contact Concurrent Technologies' Help Desk
at 888-783-5750 for technical problems with the
site itself (problems such as accessing information
on Benefits Connection, registration or password
issues, trouble logging on or system hang-ups).
