For more than 30 years, Delta Dental of New Jersey has provided quality dental benefits and superior customer service. While our customer service record is well known, you may not be aware of Delta Dental’s involvement within the community. As a concerned corporate citizen, we pride ourselves on the variety of programs we have instituted or supported which aid the needy, educate the community, and assist worthwhile organizations. Here are some of the major ways Delta Dental supports our community.

Captain Supertooth - Delta Dental of New Jersey, through our Foundation, sponsors an educational program for elementary schools throughout New Jersey. Go to Captain Supertooth for more information.

PANDA (Prevent Abuse and Neglect through Dental Awareness) - PANDA is an educational program that’s being sponsored by Delta Dental of New Jersey through our philanthropic arm, the Delta Dental Foundation*.

Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey - For the past several years, Delta Dental has supported Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey's Blue Ribbon campaign. PCA-NJ distributes more than 250,000 blue ribbons on cards which provide information on child abuse prevention.

Special Olympics - Delta Dental of New Jersey has been a proud sponsor of Special Olympics New Jersey since 1991. Currently we are a Premier Sponsor of  Special Olympics New Jersey. As a sponsor, we have had the honor of funding this worthwhile organization in many ways:

• Host of the Ice Show at the Winter Games
• Host of the Delta Dental Classic, our annual golf outing benefiting New Jersey Special Olympics. The sixteenth annual Delta Dental Classic will be held on June 21, 2006. Call 973-285-4059 or e-mail us for details.

Holiday Gift Drive - Each year, Delta Dental selects a needy charity and conducts a gift-giving event to coincide with the holidays. Recipients have included:

• Boarder Babies at Newark University Hospital
• Hope House, a social service center
• Saint Peter’s Village, a local orphanage
• Several Sources Foundation, a shelter for unwed mothers
• Angel Connection, an organization helping children in families affected by HIV/AIDS

Thanksgiving Food Drive - During the month of November, Delta Dental employees support local needy families to provide them with a nutritious Thanksgiving meal. All of the food goes to families who utilize the services of Hope House. In addition to the numerous baskets of food that are donated, Delta Dental employees also make monetary donations to purchase supermarket gift certificates for the families.

Blood Drive - Because Delta Dental recognizes the critical need for blood donations, we conduct an annual blood drive. In a joint effort with the North Jersey Blood Center, Delta Dental employees volunteer to donate blood for our drive. All of the blood collected goes to more than 40 hospitals in New Jersey, including all the trauma and tertiary care centers in the area.
