A Customer Service Agent following established company guidelines resolves customer issues received by telephone, mail or fax from group administrators, subscribers and dentists. An Agent explains Delta Dental’s group contracts, agreements, processing policies and procedures. An Agent can also adjudicate dental claims and resolve adjustments.
Minimum 1-3 years customer service/call center experience, Dental Assistant education/experience a plus. Personal computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Application such as Windows, Word and Excel and browser-based applications that utilize Internet Explorer/Chrome. Excellent oral and written communication skills and math aptitude. Candidate must be creative, flexible and have problem-solving abilities. Also possess a positive attitude to be able to cooperate in a team environment with co-workers and management. Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Using independent judgment, the Administrative Support Associate performs administrative and office support activities for multiple team members in the Professional Services Department. Duties include fielding telephone calls (regarding filed fees, participation and other provider inquiries, typing correspondence via letter, fax, or email, etc.). Handles research and inquiries and other support functions including Internet research. Assist other members of the Professional Relations/Services Department with various administrative functions. May handle multiple projects.

Oversees all components and programming intended to benefit the health and wellbeing of DDNJ’s clients, members, providers, and the community. This position will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services to develop, implement, manage and report on DDNJ’s oral health and wellness initiatives to maximize the impact of the programs.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in health education or Dental Hygiene and at least four years of administrative, clinical, or educational healthcare experience or an equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required along with the ability to establish priorities and make decisions and to work independently. Must be process oriented, able to orchestrate multiple activities at once and use resources effectively and efficiently. Ability to be proficient in the utilization of large databases, highly organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities. Ability to work in a team environment, excellent leadership, facilitation, strategic thinking, problem solving, decision making, negotiation and analytical skills are required. Must have a broad knowledge of business functions, ability to influence, motivate and lead team members from various departments.
